If you’re suffering with joint pain, visit the medical professionals at Pax Internal Medicine Associates for a thorough evaluation. They can treat your condition and help relieve your discomfort.
Joint pain can range from mild to severe, affecting mobility and functionality in areas, such as your hips, knees, spine, elbows, shoulders, ankles, and other joints.

If your pain persists for more than a few days, you should see Dr. Amanambu for an evaluation and treatment. He can help you avoid any progression of disease or damaged joints that can impair your mobility.
At Pax internal Medicine Associates, the team of specialists talk with you about your symptoms and review your medical history. They also perform a physical exam that might require the use of advanced ultrasound services to gain a closer look at what’s going on in your body. Blood tests might also help diagnose your condition.
To treat your joint pain, Dr. Amanambu and the team first recommend the RICE therapy method, which includes rest, ice, compression, and elevation. You can also use over-the-counter medications to help alleviate your symptoms.
If your pain continues after a few days, then other remedies for treatment might include joint pain injections, bracing, and physical therapy to strengthen the muscles that support your joints. If conservative treatments don’t help you achieve successful results, surgery might be recommended.
Dr. Amanambu recommends that you stay physically active and maintain a healthy weight to prevent your joint pain from getting worse. Taking care of your body can also decrease your risk for injury or needing surgery for your joint issues.
