Lower back and hip pain are common complaints that can significantly affect your daily life and overall well-being. As a board-certified internal medicine physician with a Master of Public Health in preventative medicine and public health, Dr. Amanambu understands the complex nature of these issues and is committed to providing comprehensive care that addresses not only the physical symptoms but also the underlying causes and preventative measures.
Understanding Back and Hip Pain
Back and hip pain can stem from various factors, including:
A Holistic Approach to Treatment
At our practice, we take a holistic approach to diagnosing and treating back and hip pain. This means considering all aspects of your health, including your medical history, lifestyle, and personal goals. Our comprehensive evaluation includes a thorough physical examination, imaging studies if necessary, and a discussion of your lifestyle, symptoms and concerns.
Our treatment plans may include:
Physical Therapy: Targeted exercises and stretches can help improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
Lifestyle Modifications: Weight management, proper posture, and ergonomic adjustments can help reduce strain on the back and hips.
Medications: Over-the-counter or prescription pain relievers, muscle relaxants, or anti-inflammatory medications may be recommended to manage pain and inflammation.
Prevention is Key
Preventing back and hip pain is a crucial part of our approach. We emphasize education and empower our patients with knowledge about proper body mechanics, safe exercise practices, and healthy lifestyle choices. By addressing the root causes of pain and implementing preventative measures, we aim to help our patients achieve long-term relief and optimal well-being.
